What We're Doin'!

Posted on June 23rd, 2009 by Hawke

Greetings, members of Crimson Revenge.

Tonight, Renn and I had a guild leader meeting, and we made some decisions that will affect the future of CR.

These decisions were agreed upon by the two of us, and if the forum system allowed it, this would be a joint post by the two of us. Since it can't, I'm posting while she is making the neccessary changes to the forums to support our decisions.

In summary.

1) Crimson Revenge will continue to fully support Warhammer Online as a sanctioned game. As Guildmaster, Havvke will refocus efforts on recruiting and events while we give those enjoy the game the best possible home to enjoy it with. Dungeon groups and alliance matters will become a priority.

2) Effective immediatly, and in keeping with the Spirit of Crimson Revenge as a multi-game gamers guild, we are pleased to announce the sanctioning of Aion as a guild game. Rennoewen will be GM of the Aion chapter, and she will soon be presenting her plan for guild formation and events in the newly created Aion Forum. (Yes, Rennoewen will continue to play WAR as well.)

3) Effective immediatly, we are excited to announce our plans to sanction Star Wars: The Old Republic as a guild game. Since this one is so far off, we don't see a conflict of interest with announcing this. At this time, Hawke is expected to be Guildmaster. More to come in the months to follow, but we thought it would be fun to announce that we fully intend to get CR into this game and hit the ground running hard and fast.

CR will continue to strive to provide a safe and fun haven to enjoy games together. We are glad that you all choose to be a part of our family.

Any and all comments are welcome.

Happy Birthday Crimson Revenge!!!

Posted on May 29th, 2009 by Rennoewen

It was 6 years ago today that you were formed with ideals of fun, friendship and maturity. Dark Age of Camelot - Midgard Guinevere server is where you were first born and spread your name in the world. Many have feared and revered you. Hawke, Rennoewen with the help of good friend, Kedann created the guild. A couple months later, we purchased and created the guild website you see today. We have had 2 Crimsonfest events where guild members have gotten together in real life and have fun.

Thank you all for helping create one of the best gamer guilds out there. Cheers and here's wishing for many more such years of fun, friendship and goofing around in games.

Choppa Madness!

Posted on March 14th, 2009 by Rennoewen

Happy Saint Patrick's Day this month! We also had a Friday the 13th... ooh spooky! The guild is ever growing and we are happy to report that we've exceeded 300 members! We're also well on our way to guild rank 25! Ooh, guild mounts - yummy!

With patch 1.2 we see the release of our new class, The Choppa! As incentive to level up these new classes, we have a very rewarding contest going on. The first and second CR guild members to get to 40 will get some fat loots! Check out more about this contest here.

We have many Bile, Blood and Vale groups going and we are including non-guildies into our regular groups. If you are interested in joining a group, please post your info here. People who don't show up to two or more planned dungeon runs will have their spot filled by someone else, so please be respectful of your group mates and be there on time or post if you will be late or unable to make it.

We have many crafters in the guild, so if you would like to purchase talismans and potions or work out a trade, please use our trade post board.

Remember to check our boards often and our calendar in-game and on the boards for all events. As always, guild members are welcome to run an event of their own. (So long as it doesn't interfere with any other guild event)

February News

Posted on February 19th, 2009 by Hawke

Greetings, Crimson Revenge

A prosperous time for the guild in Warhammer Online. We've got several groups running the IC Dungeons, including one running Lost Vale. More groups are forming now, so get involved! If you need help with Wards, check the thread in the guild warhammer forums!

A new dungeon group is forming, post your interest now!

Our adopt a healer program is picking up steam, if you're a sub level 40 and need assistance with quests, don't hesistate to ask for assistance with quests, PQs, or groupmates for Scenerios.

Have an idea for an event you would like to lead? Put it on the calendar! Anyone can host and lead a guild event, so if theres something you want to do, don't be shy!

Choppa's are up for testing on the PTS - to access, go into your WAR folder on your hard drive, and run the "testpatch" file, that will patch your game for access to the test server. WAAAAGH!

See you on the battlefield!

Happy New Year!

Posted on December 31st, 2008 by Rennoewen

Happy New Year everyone! It's been a great year for CR! From AoC to moving to WAR, we've had a full gaming year. Our Fantasy Football league has just finished its season, with my team the "Beligerent Badgers" the champion. 2nd was Kedann's Deathbringers and 3rd was a FF newcomer, Oakraven and his "Thunder Crushers". Great job everyone!

> In November we had to move servers in WAR - Avelorn to Phoenix Throne. It has taken some adjusting, but we are still thriving! Be on the look out for some exciting events coming up here in January. We're hitting off the new year with a bang!

So have a great time tonight - party it up - and be safe.

Phoenix Throne or Bust!

Posted on November 26th, 2008 by Rennoewen

Mythic dropped a bomb on Avelorn the other day by announcing that we were a "low population server". For anyone who was on one of those servers before and after such an announcement, you would know that that means your server will die a quick death.

> So with a lot of discussion amongst CR members who were online in forums and in-game and among all of our allies and their guild members - we found it the best idea to transfer to Phoenix Throne and do it as quickly as possible. One reason for speed is to get the guild set up fast so guild members could find us. Another is so that people with special names have a better chance of getting the name they want. Another would be the bandaid method works best. (pull the bandaid off quickly to avoid prolonging any pain)

So, to our Warhammer players - if you go to your account management page on the Mythic website - that is where you transfer your characters from Avelorn to Phoenix Throne. We've kept your seat warm and your mug of ale fresh and awaiting your arrival. Just log into Phoenix Throne and type /who crimson revenge and contact any member and as for a re-invite.

We are confident that once you see how much more active our new home is and how much more you are able to do, that you will see that our snap decission makes a lot of sense. I hope to see all of our members and their alts on our new server, but if anyone decides to stay behind for whatever reason we welcome you to stay and chat with us on our forums anytime and wish you best of luck in the game.

VOTE TODAY!

Posted on November 4th, 2008 by MagicmanICT

This is a friendly reminder to all of our United States citizens that today is your day to make your voice heard! It doesn't matter if you vote for party A or B as long as you exercise your right. Heck, if you don't like party A or B, vote for party C, D, E, or even just vote for Mickey Mouse. (Yeah, he usually gets a few thousand votes every year. Maybe he'll actually get elected one day.)

As they say in Shadowrun, "Vote Early, Vote Often! (What else are those extra SINs for?)" (FYI, a SIN stands for Social Identification Number, and much like a SSN or TIN, everyone has one if you have a documented birth, and some people have several.)

(edit: I don't intend for this to be a political discussion. Those can get, shall we say, a bit heated. This is ONLY a reminder to vote. If we want to discuss the importance of voting, so be it, but lets stay a happy family and not discuss politics.)

Happy Witching Night!

Posted on October 31st, 2008 by Rennoewen

Greetings Boils and Ghouls! Another Halloween is upon us! CR would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.

Congrats to all of us on reaching guild rank 14! Very soon we will be able to wear our guild emblem on our cloaks! So lets make that push to 15, we are nearly there!

We would also like to welcome all of our new members to the guild. We're very glad to have you. Please make sure to use our forums for info, chatting, voting and getting to know us. We have a roleplay board for sharing any roleplay adventures, stories or bios!

We have a lot of fun events on a regular basis. All guild members and alliance members are welcome to join in.

Guild Rank 11!

Posted on October 9th, 2008 by Rennoewen

Congrats to our members for reaching guild rank 11! Everyone has done a great job contributing! This last rank has expanded our Guild Vaults and with that comes more room for items we didn't have before.

- Guild Vault Rule Amendments -

-Items level 12-25 go in the first vault (this may include a couple healing potions and a couple talismans. Be mindful and do not overload it with pots or talis!)
-Items level 26-35 go in the second vault. (This may include healing pot and Talis being mindful not to overload it)
*At this time we still do not accept seeds, cultivation items, Talisman crafting items, or apothocary ingredients.

Please make sure to check the in-game guild tab for all upcoming events! We've got all kinds including a Halloween event on the 31st! Feel free to sign up for any you can join!

Forum Issues Resolved

Posted on June 18th, 2008 by Rennoewen

Thank you all for your patience and understanding on the forum matters. Many apologies for the posts and member registrations that kept getting eaten! The forums are finally repaired, thanks to Hawke and our friends at the SMF forums. If your member registration was one of the ones that got eaten and you haven't already, please make sure you register again and then post your application as well. Thank you!

Our Screenshot competition is extended and we are looking for entries! ALL members are welcome to enter and there are great prizes to be had!

Forum Issues

Posted on June 17th, 2008 by Rennoewen

As you have probably noticed, our forums have been having problems recently. We are not sure why this is, but we will work to find out what is causing this and fix it as soon as possible. This has NEVER happened to our website before. The forums will be down until the issue is resolved.

Due to forum rollback, any posts you posted today will be gone and any members who registered today will need to re-register as their account will also be gone. The reason is simply because our host provider backs up our forums once every three days and does not accept any of the backups I myself do. (yeah... i was livid when I learned this this evening)

All i can do is ask for your patience in this matter and apologise to you all. Watch this space here for updates or important announcements.

All competitions will be pushed back for as much time as it takes to get the forums stable again and new member registration deadlines will be likewise, extended. Sincerely.... your bald (from puller hair out) webmistress.

Forum Maintenance

Posted on June 16th, 2008 by Rennoewen

***The forums are back up. Thanks for your patience***
The forums are down for maintenance right now. We apologise for the innconvenience! Any new recruits that will miss their register deadline because of the maintenance will be given an extra day to register and the screenshot competition will be extended a day. Thank you for your patience! We should have the forums back up and running by tomorrow at the latest.

Guild Events!

Posted on June 11th, 2008 by Primate

Hail All!

I have been given the honor of being your events planner. So with that I would like to introduce you to my first poll.

I have given you 10 votes per user so you can vote for all of these events if you so choose.I have also set the poll to run for 5 days hopefully gives everyone time to read it and vote. I have also gave you the ability to change your votes upto the end of the poll for your convience be it you change your mind.

These are some basic ideas I just came up with. I would like as much feedback as I can get. Some of these events could be very morale building , and prosperous for us as a whole and individuals.

For example my thoughts on how some of these events could be carried out are:

Start with one of my favorites ( I like the name ) Fatality Friday I noticed one day while under the wild lands killing werewolves that were grey to me. That I got alot of fatalities. So The idea came to me we could take a small or large group go into a zone like this one contestant at a time would be given say 1 minute to get as many fatalities as they can.

We would record these numbers per contest and the Winner gets all the coin from the kills of the night and pick of one item looted no matter what it be their choice. Runner up would get their pick of 2 green items and or the coin from all the none useable items .

Races well most of those are self explaining "swimming" Contestants swim across a given body of water rewards annouced at scheduled time of event. Mount races Foot races etc etc...

Guild Keep!

Posted on June 9th, 2008 by Rennoewen

Three determined guild members set out on a mission this evening - to build the Guild Keep! With the 2g I have been saving up and the 66s that was donated to the guild bank, Cazora the architect was able to build the city's keep.Jlynn, Hawke and Cazora spent a couple hours harvesting resources for the building and in the end it was a great success! It sure is a beautiful sight!

> Jlynn (Primate's Main), Hawke and Cazora (My Main)
If you haven't seen it yet, talk to the nearest npc who can teleport you directly to the guild city. The next goal is to build the Trade house. It will cost 1g 75s for the Trade Post building Plan and then many more ash, sandstone, silver and copper resources. No doubt we can do anything we set our minds to! Age of Conan Update

Posted on June 9th, 2008 by Rennoewen

By popular demand we have added a new "Level up" sound effect. Player Building tooltip displays correct predecessor information now. Fixed some randomness in when you would see the tutorial popup flags. Trading with another player will no longer cause traded items to appear in the incorrect inventory tab. Removed the commandline to setting hotkeys since it was only intended to debug hotkeys before the GUI was there The "usable items only" checkbox with traders should now work as intended. The facemarking 'Freckles' should now work for new characters. Minor issue with tradeposts and setting up items for auction has been resolved. Corrected several animations for mobs as well as NPCs during cut scenes. Increased the xp gained from group normal mobs and group bosses. Players will now be able to experience the destiny event in the Field of Chiefs. New voice over for some of the events in the Capture The Skull minigame. More client and server crashes resolved. Looking for Moderators

Posted on June 8th, 2008 by Rennoewen

After an obscene post on our new recruit board it is evident that we need a couple forum moderators to be able to keep things clean and safe when Hawke and I are offline. If you login to the boards regularly, are familiar with SMF boards, have been with us for at least a month then moderator could be for you! Click the links below to read more...

Website makeover!

Posted on june 6th, 2008 by Rennoewen

Welcome to the NEW and IMPROVED Crimson Revenge Guild website! Hawke recently pointed out how old the former website's graphics were and I went further to notice that the entire site needed redone. With the 5th birthday of Crimson Revenge Guild AND the overwhelming positive response to our new game Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures it was time to make a change. With many new potential recruits, it's necessary to show what we're all about and to have a place that we feel good about. I hope you enjoy the fruits of my efforts.

If you aren't playing Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, then you're missing out on the game of the year! Here is a fun little slide show I made of my Priestess of Mitra set to music. This is a Fight Club arena that I found while questing in the Fields of the Dead. The mob is a level 48 elite and as you can see, I whomped him good!

May 24th, 2006

I would like to showcase some of the awesome creativity of one of our members in particular. Here is an excerpt from our AD&D Campaign, Character Backstory of "Shalak".

She was sweating profusely and obviously in pain. Throwing her head from side to side she finally let out a piercing shriek. Suddenly a green, warty hand reaches out and slaps her as a gravelly voice rasps out "Silence bitch. Push you do, scream you don't." This whole thing almost seems like a nightmare as the flames of torches make grotesque parodies of what is happening with the shadows on the walls. The female that screamed is a naked middle aged woman. At least you would guess her age at that by her looks. She is laying on a slab of stone in the throes of childbirth. Around her is a couple other cowering female humans, and two ancient orc females. At the door are two more orcs, both probably female, but armed to the teeth. Finally with one final whimper and shudder a child is born. One that has green skin, a mishapen face, and of a size that no human should be. The old orc crone reaches down and pulls the child up to see it clearer, turning it over a few times she suddenly bites off the cord and literally tosses the child to one of the human women with a sneer. "Human it is. More than orc. If lives, trained to fight as shock troop. Either way. Short will be life. Feed it or not." With that the orcs leave and the human women move to try and save the mothers life. After awhile one of them nods and sighs "She should live now, but I am not sure I did her any favors" Looking up she motions the one with the child over. "I am not happy about this, but if we don't try to keep it alive it will be worse for us all. See if it will feed from her." The oddly silent child is place upon it's mothers teat, and after a moment he is avidly feeding. The woman who spoke before shakes her head sadly. "He has a will to live, most do not. He will make a strong warrior:" Reaching out she puts both hands on the neck of the child her arms tense up but before she can snap the neck the mother wakes up. She is feverous and looks to be on deaths door, but her eyes are bright and clear and she looks determined. "NO" She pulls the child away. "He has to live." She lowers her voice. "I have heard a voice, please you have to let him live".

The cow was being turned on the spit, not well but who at this dinner would care anyway? One side was burnt, the other side still mooing. The cow was that way because the boy turning it was not large enough to keep it going without a lot of effort. One look at the boy and you would say he was human, but on closer inspection you see that his molars are elongated, his hair is course and stringy, and of course his skin is green tinged. You would say he was about 8 or 9, in reality he was but 5. The size of his father seems to have taken hold well. He manages to get the cow turning, but not with any regularity, most would have given up by now with no one watching, but this boy seems to either have dogged determination, or he was soft in the head.
Finally the one known as the cook, though nominal skills was all she had, came by and on general orcish principle slapped the boy upside the head causing him to fall partly into the fire burning his hand and a bit of his face. After one wordless cry though he bites his lip and says nothing. He may be five, but even a rat will learn not to squeal in pain if that only brings more pain.
The banquet, and let us use this term loosely and do not expect it to apply to anything any other person except another orc or maybe a troll would consider a banquet, was finally ending and the boy sits patiently by the fire. Finally the orcs all go to bed. Ok, let us be truthful, pass out, where knocked out, where getting their orc on, anyway it was the boy and the dogs. Five hungry dogs, one starved boy, a small part of a cow left. Sounds like a setup for a gladitorial event, well it is not quite that but when it is done, the boy and his new friend the femur of the cow win the night. Ah, the feast that insues it is wonderful, enticing and....well ok, the boy gobbles as much as he can as quick as he can and wishes he had more. Finally he takes the bones and makes peace with the dogs as he cracks them and lets them have the marrow. Who can stay mad at the only friends you have in the world? Well, after you have managed to eat and survive another day that is.

The Clan of the Crushed Viper lived in a grouping of caves within the Blackmountains. They had a fairly short trip to a caravan route or two, easy access to trade with other clans, and only a couple days run to be able to raid a couple of human villages. Though of course the Orcs were not prejudice in anyway and loved to raid an elven village if they ever decided to travel that far. Really as orc clans went, they lived a pretty plush life. Human slaves, treasure, and enough food to keep them going. What made this clan a bit different is the fact they use the female slaves as brood mares. Impregnating them to give them half orc slaves or meat shields. The ones that came out stupid were used as slaves in the mines. The smarter ones were trained to fight in the frontlines so that the full blooded Orcs didn't have to take the brunt of a charge. Now the smart half breeds, well they were killed on principle. Which means basically what half orcs you would see in the clan were retarded, or pretended to be. I mean really, dumber than an orc is not an elven saying just on a whim.
Being raised within the Clan of the Crushed Viper as a half orc was not the best life you could ask for, but I suppose being an orc or even related to one was not the best life you could ask for either. If you were picked for the mines, then you could expect to not live more then a few years down there. Between unsafe tunnels, gas from the earth, and the rock dust your years were numbered. The fighters didnt' fair too much better as the training you went through was not what any normal person would call easy. First, they used real weapons to train with. Second, you are talking about an orc trying to train you. Third, the orc's liked betting on the fights, and if somone high in the clan bet on you then you better win and you can only be sure of winning one way. Killing the other person.
As a fighter it was not all bad, you had fresh air, you were fed and watered, and if you won money for the chief you were kept in good shape. Ok, so it was pretty much all bad as the open air was a cage outside. Yes, that includes rainy season, winter, height of the summer. The food was usually maggot ridden, though maggots did give you the protein you need. And good shape is a relative term when you had to fight all the time and got cut, bruised, beaten and whatever. And I do mean beaten, if you were a "slave champion" the orcs took great delight in beating you to prove they were better and you were nothing. Then again they beat everyone, including their own mothers if they could.

The ring of steel, the smell of sweat and blood, and the gasping (grunting really) of men (ok ok, well male humanoids) gave you a good clue that you were at the practice yard of some kind of weapons training. With a snort a large orc halts the action and turns to a younger male that looked only about half orc and slaps him up aside the head. "Water to the men you useless halfbreed. Unless you want to go to the mines, get your arse moving". With that the child, who could not be much more then 8 or 9 started lugging a water bucket around to the orcs and some halforcs that were in the practice yard. The bucket was large and he had trouble moving it. Everytime he would spill some water, and that was fairly frequently, someone would cuff him aside the head making him stagger and lose more water. And hence the cycle went. By the time practice started up again his head was ringing and blood was flowing down his face. Moving to the side of the yard he sat down for a moment until the weapons master noticed him sitting. "Get up boy, you will not sit while I am around" With that he kicked the boy hard in the stomach which did nothing for his ability to stand. The weapons master laughed, and started beating the child until he passed out. The child, not the weaponsmaster.
The child woke up when practice ended. The sun was setting making him cold because of the beating. Struggling furtively he finally got out of the yard and to the side of the building where a crying human woman came running up to him. Leaning down she starts to clean him up with the edge of her dress, but the child pushes her away trying not to weep. "No mom, no. They will take this out on you. Please don't...." A shadow fell across the boys eyes and as he looked up the weaponsmaster started chuckling. Grabbing the woman by the hair he pulls her into the building and you can hear cloth rip, then the screaming started. The boy, crying softly moves off a little way, but stays close enough so he can hear everything. Figuring that since it was his fault, he should not run from the pain of hearing the one person in life that cared for him take the punishment of a beating, and a rape.

During the days he was always out in the practice yard, supposedly training but really getting beaten up over and over. During the evenings he worked the spit and ran food and drink. Sometimes he even got to eat something better then bones, but then again the dogs got those before he did. He was kicked, spit on, poked, punched, bitten and anything else you could think of. He was one of only a few half breeds there, the "breeding" program did not work out so well. The human women could not bear the half orc well and usually died in childbirth, as many times did the child. And of course it would not work the other way as what orc woman would spread her legs for a human? And of course, what human would then go between those legs if he could help it. So, the handful of them were treated worse then the dogs.
His mother was lucky though, she didn't die having him and he ripped her up so she was incapable of having more kids. Did I say lucky? That means she lived, so maybe not lucky. But lucky for him anyway as she loved him like she planned to have him and was in a happy healthy home. For that he would always be thankful. She worked the kitchens now, so in the evening and nights they could talk. She told him the tales of the human lands. About the elves. The dwarfs. And especially the humans. Tales that went directly in the face of what the orc tales said. But then if you have ever heard an orc tale, well his mother's tales were much more believable. She taught him to read, well at least the basis for his letters so he could sort of read and he could write his name. She taught him simple math, enough to count what he needed to. And she taught him manners, some etiquitte, along with the human tongue. And she taught him something else that would prove it's weight in gold, if it had weight. Love, compassion, and thoughtfulness.
So, if you take it all in context, life was not so bad.....was it?

The real identity of Shalak will be announced at the end of the AD&D games, as it is part of the gameplay to not know who the others are.

AD&D Games!!!

Hello everyone!

I am currently putting together a AD&D Pen and Paper style campaign to be played over forums.

WHO CAN PLAY:

Anyone - Full member, non member, friend of a member -

You don't need to know how to play AD&D either, nor do you even need any of the books or dice. I will run the campaign in such a way that all you need to bring is your imagination and enthusiasm.

WHAT IS IT:

A custom made campaign setting using AD&D 3.5 rules - I will provide all neccessary materials, world setting maps, currency, and political structures.

Using a secure forum, I will Dungeon Master and we use open forums and private messages to play out the campaign.

HOW DO I SIGN UP:

Anyone interested in playing should send me a PM - One of the things that makes this type of game so much fun is that it is played completely anonymous - Players will register in the forums using thier D&D Character names so no one will know who each other is. This will provide a rich atmosphere to foster roleplaying.

Simply send me a PM and let me know you are interested in playing. Thats all it takes. Again, you don't need to have any prior experience in AD&D - you don't even need the books or dice. If you do have them, great, if not, no problem.

WHAT ARE THE SPECIFIC RULES I SHOULD KNOW BEFORE SIGNING UP

Just like any other DM, I use the rules as guidelines, not as concrete end alls - as DM, of course, I have the final say in all decisions.

Players will keep thier Alignments and Classes Hidden and private, only the player and I will know that information. While I will allow "Evil" Alignments, I strongly suggestion against it. The campain world I have created will make it tough for evil characters to prosper, but it is possible.

All 3.5 Races and Classes will be allowed, and I will provide more specific information once we get enough players on board.

Because we are playing by forum, it basicly becomes a turn based game, which means there are no time constraints. Anyone can play, you only need to be able to log into the forums once in a while to play.

I invite everyone interested in a little roleplaying fun to send me a PM as soon as possible. I hope to get it started within a few weeks. Anyone with questions are welcome to post them or PM me.

It will be a good time.

October Player of the Month

Our outstanding member for the month of October has been voted on by the members and here she is.. DAIKINI!!! Her dedication to the guild and giving ways have really helped out many members and her efforts obviously did not go unnoticed. Many hours were spent by her making backpacks for everyone, even before she fully joined CR and she has made many armor items as well. Not only did this earn her Member of the Month, but She has earned a promotion to junior officer. Below is some information about this special lady.

1. Daikini, what is your real first name?

Sam, short for Samanthia...I will not bore you with the long list of names I got stuck with hehe...Have been called Sam since I cut my hip-length hair off at the nape of my neck at age 12.

2. How long have you played mmorpg's? What was the first one you ever played?

Started EQ shortly before the release of the first expansion (Kunark)...That would be about 6 years...Had been playing D&D and stand alone computer games before that.

3. If you could change one thing about mmorpg's, what would it be?

More intellectual content (Yes I realize this is unlikely)...I for one would like the option of outsmarting opponents as well as using sheer brute force to overcome them.

4. What is your all-time favorite in-game activity?

Playing in a tightly knit group...Only had this for one year in EQ...A group of us met at around level 16, and played together to 60...When a group plays together regularly, they develope strategies that can make them nearly unbeatable...We only had 4 group wipe outs during the whole time we played as an "unofficial guild"...It was heady stuff

5. What are the names of your main EQ2 alts and what class/race/trade are they?

Daikini (main)...wood elf...34 warden...41 tailor Nyxt (secondary)...half elf...20 berserker...26 alchemist Pikaki...wood elf...16 bard...29 carpenter Xanthea...wood elf...18 cleric...17 outfitter

6. What is one thing you would like the members of CR to know about you?

I don't think there is any one thing about me more important than any other...Take your time, get to know me...Did I mention that I am into whips? *eg*

7. You proclaim yourself "The MT Queen", what is the most embarrassing mt you've ever had?

Umm That's Mistell Mistress *wink* I suppose the MOST embarrassing was when a RL friend and I were discussing matters sexual, and I sent a HUGE MT straight to guild...Took months to live that one down hehe...You were likely confused by my other MMORPG title: Typo Queen hehe

8. What your favorite gaming snack?

I rarely eat at the computer...Almost always have a cup of coffee or tea beside me though, and when the urge hits, a shot of Highland Single Malt Scotch (neat if you please).

9. What was the worst mmorpg, in your opinion, that you've ever tried? Please Explain.

City of Heroes was hands-down the worst I ever played...Wonderful to be able to customize one's look, but then what...I tended to think of CoH as "all dressed up and no place to go".

10. What goals do you have for EQ2? How close are you to reaching those goals?

Oh that's easy :) My only personal goal is fun...My goal for CR is simply to help make us the most fun and interesting guild on Lucan :) Go Crimson!

Many thanks to you Sam! Members like you are what make CR the great guild that it is. :o)

Enjoy this in-depth, character interview with Vidron (AKA Akira)!

1) What is your name and age?

My name is Vidron Karn Dragonborne, I am 24 years old.

2) Where were you born?

Stormwind City, in the Cathedral to be specific.

3) Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am the son of Corin and Lillia Dragonborne, brother to Flandrea and Sylvanna. I was raised in Stormwind City in a back alley on the outskirts of Dwarven district. I should have guessed future events from the nickname people gave it, Cut-Throat Alley. Regardless, at the time I was living there Stormwind was under seige by the Scourge coming from the ruined and abandoned city of Lordaeron, so I didn't ask questions. After our parents died at Hyjal in Kalimdor, I became the Big Brother of the family. If it hadn't been for Uncle Bomar taking us in at Ironforge tho', I don't know what would have happened to us.

4) What were you like as a teenager? If you are a teenager, what were you like as a child?

A teenager? Oh boy, those days I was only a teen for half the time that most kids are teens. After our parents death I had to fill a hole that was left in our hearts. But for the time I was, competative, that's what me and Flandrea were.

5) What is something extraordinary that has happened to you in your life?

I'd have to say that the most extraordinary thing that has ever happened to me was the day I was inspired to become a Paladin. That day the Scourge were once again trying to invade Stormwind. The fight was not going well, many had fallen at the hands of two Abominations, but then Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker appeared. Both of them fell to him alone, and without those two and the arrival of Katherine the Pure and Arthur the Faithful to Lord Grayson's side, their offensive was broken at the Valley of Heroes.

6) What are some of your accomplishments, good or bad?

Once, I was in the Plagelands battling the Scourge when I saw a Troll Priest flee a nearby building, she was beset by foes and was in danger of perishing if her shield failed. Calling to my companion, Grech, I drew my mace and ran to engage the enemy. Grech flew past me as he charged straight into the thick of 'em, but only one stood to face him. The rest continued to flail upon the Troll's shield which I saw was beggining to buckle. Once I was close I stood and conscecrated the ground around me, the Troll ran past and the Scourge followed until the Consecration took effect, then the searing of the Holy power I had laid out drove them to attack me. Grech had finished his foe and now came to my aid, with a challenging shout our enemies turned to face him and I fell back to heal and cast Exorcism when I had mana to spare. The toils of combat began to wear us thin and Grech, beset by 5 foes now, was beggining to take more damage then I could heal. Suddenly with a psychic scream a new combatant entered the fray. The Troll Priest had returned, and after recovering her mana had returned to aid us. Two of our foes ran in terror from the sound of her scream, and straight into a small group of Scarlet Crusaders that were battling it out with the Scourge. Now the odds were even, 3 on 3. My fury pulled one of the unholy creatures off Grech and somehow the priest took another. Mainly she held him at bay using her shield and smiting him to keep him interested, the real purpose was to keep him off Grech. After his foe fell Grech immediatly tended his wounds swiftly to allow me more time to recover mana. Once he was finished he saw that I had nearly disposed of my enemy and turned to the Priest's attacker. A mocking blow turned the Scourge to him and she faded into the background of combat to heal. My foe fell and I turned my attention to restoring myself and Grech. After the final Scourge had fallen Grech roared his rage to the winds and turned to the Priest. Bowing to the priest he thanked her for returning, she bowed to us and beckoned us over to the barn from which she had fled. Inside was a locked chest that I opened, inside was food, water, a Truesilver bar, a cloak, a healing potion, and two partial stacks of Mageweave. I took the Truesilver and Grech took the food, when we turned to let the priest have the rest I saw that she was leaving. I hailed her and pointed to the chest, she obviously had pointed it out to us so that if we could open it we would have it in gratitude. After taking the rest she thanked us again and we left the barn. The way out of the field was blocked by Undead, but between the three of us we reached the road. Calling out a strange sound the Troll summoned her mount, a fierce raptor which she swiftly mounted. She bid us farewell and saluted in respect, Grech and I raised our weapons in respect and turned back to the field, a black pestilence rising out of an immense caldron we had come to gather a sample from, and a cordon of Scourge standing as warden.

7) What is something you strive for in your life? What is something you wish to avoid in your life?

What I strive for...true peace, for us and the Horde. I know dishonorable Horde exists, but as I have shown you, there is true honor in the Horde as well. What do I seek to avoid, falling as Arhtas fell.

8) What is unique or special about you? What made you that way?

What is special about me? My sense of honor, I learned it from my father and it is that which I treasure most.

9) What is your greatest fear/What scares you?

My greatest fear is that I will fall to darkness as Arthas fell, I don't call him "Prince" because the day he slew his father his claim to the throne was excommunicated in my eyes, but his fate is what scares me.

10) When you are an old man/woman what in your life will you look back on with fondness?

Hehe, I'll always remeber this: In our teenage days me and Flandrea always competed in almost everything. One day we were arguing about who was faster, I was wearing a set of armored boots as training and they were heavy. I claimed that, even though I was wearing the boots, I could beat her from the Lions outside Trade District in the Canals to the Gates of Stormwind. She said I would never be faster then her, so we agreed to race. We tore off around Trade District and headed for the gate, neck and neck the whole way. Fast as my sister is I had trained long and hard in those boots and I kept pace. We didn't hear a soldier on horseback calling to us to, "Ware! Children stop! Ware, a cart has overturned in the Valley!!", we could only think about being first. As we tore around into the Valley of heroes we saw the cart, but didn't realize what it had held. It had been a wine cart, and the stone of the Valley was slicked with it! We...haha...we...we didn't realize until we stared slipping that we weren't going to make it until we had tripped on a curb and gone flying over the edge! All I could think of was, I couldn't swim in those heavy boots! Flan was safe, she and I could swim like fish, but with those boots on I couldn't. As I took a deep breath before hitting the water, I knew I had two chances at getting out. I could try to untie my boots underwater and swim for the surface, or I could try to "sprint" along the bottom for the shore. I chose the first and as I hit the bottom I struggled to untie my boots. Don't try to do that underwater, have a knife to cut yourself loose; I don't know how long I tried to get loose, but I failed. Things got dark for a moment and I thought I was about to drown, then a strong arm grasped me and hauled me towards the surface. The soldier that had tried to warn us had rode after and leapt to save me, when he saw my boots, in Full Heavy Plate Armor! We reached the surface as a loud splash sounded to our side and we were drenched in water once again. The soldier's mount had lept in after his master and swam to us, I was thrown onto the horse's back and the soldier's gauntleted hand was grasped in the Horses mouth and they swam for shore. After we reached shore Flan and I stared each other in the eye as the soldier and nearby travelers started to ask us a million questions all based around, "Are you ok?!" Suddenly, we were drenched as the horse shook himself off of as much water as he could. The cold of the water hitting us must have woke us out of our shock, cause the next thing we said in unison, "I hit the water first!" Silence fell at our words, until the horse neighed like he was laughing, then the whole area erupted in laughter, and we were not far behind. The soldier had only this to say, "Children, you both need to learn to listen when you run. But you lad, learn to swim in those boots. Next time I rescue you I may just die of mirth after we get to shore. Ha ha ha!"

Thanks Akira, for an excellent insight into your character!

Today's character interview is with Kedann Deathbringer the notorious rogue!

1) What is your name and age?
Kedann Deathbringer. Well let me think for a minute.....I'm about 300 years old.

2) Where were you born?

No where near here. I was born in L'luth Dreier the tenth house.

3) Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Well not much to say honestly. I do what I do best and thats sneaking around and killing people. But with all the blood of my enemies I am still a nice guy. Or I think I am anyways.

4) What were you like as a teenager? If you are a teenager, what were you like as a child?

Well im still very young for our race. So I will talk about my childhood. My childhood was filled with mean sisters a mean mother but a very nice father. My childhood was very strict. Not realy any play time..I didnt have enough time for that while we were learning to fight.

5) What is something extraordinary that has happened to you in your life?

My meeting with the Matron Mother Rennoewen in the woods. After meeting her in the woods my life has done a complete 180. All for the greater good though.

6) What are some of your accomplishments, good or bad?

My proudest moment was when I killed my first Goblin warrior.

7) What is something you strive for in your life? What is something you wish to avoid in your life?

I am striving for inner peace and also hopeing that my father will forgive me for being rude to him on the dock before i left.

8) What is unique or special about you? What made you that way?

My most unique thing about me is my eyes. I have been told I have beautiful eyes *laughs*. No im kidding.

9) What is your greatest fear/What scares you?

My greates fear is spiders. I hate them for many reasons. One to me they represent evil. Not this Horde evil. There evil is small compared to this which i speak of.

10) When you are an old man/woman what in your life will you look back on with fondness?

I will look back on the good times I had running with the guild Crimson Revenge. I will recall great fighters such as Hatheer and her mighty sword or hammer and her great healing. Silverbrook for her masterful powers of the magic. Thats just to name a few things. Dont think i have enough time to thank all the friends I have made in this guild.

Thank you Ked! Excellent insight into your character. :o) Please keep watching the news page for more character interviews to come!

Character interview with Onieros!

1) What is your name and age?
Onieros age 55

2) Where were you born?

Lakeshire

3) Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am a warlock who was orphaned during the war with the orcs Who then was forced into the service working as a battle field sweep Until the day I found Krakdoom

4) What were you like as a teenager? If you are a teenager, what were you like as a child?

As a teenager I was very distant and generally kept to myself. I was not Shy, just quiet.

5) What is something extraordinary that has happened to you in your life?

Krakdoom, nothing else can measure up to how much that little demon changed my life.

6) What are some of your accomplishments, good or bad?

My accomplishments are all relative in terms of good or bad but I have managed to build myself a small squadron of demons and have made those responsible for my torment pay.

7) What is something you strive for in your life? What is something you wish to avoid in your life?

Something I strive for in my life is to find a way to return to the orcish realm and track down Illidan for his prozed possession. I hope to avoid what all warlocks fear most?falling to the position of slave instead of master.

8) What is unique or special about you? What made you that way?

I have both respect and admiration for the horde. They seek exactly what I seek so I hold no ill feelings towards them for it. I am this way because from an early age I learned that hate and corruption knows no racial boundries as all have an equal capacity for it.

9) What is your greatest fear/What scares you?

My single greatest fear is that one day my control will waver and I will pay dearly for my stumble at the hands of my minions.

10) When you are an old man/woman what in your life will you look back on with fondness?

I am an old man and I tell you this. There is little to be fond of in this world at and age. If you do find it do not let it go. Protect it with your life. The only thing I have that brings me any joy is you, the only ones in my life that have found the capacity to accept my?company.

Thank you Onieros, for the great interview! Watch for several more interviews soming soon!

Interview with Brayna! Read on to learn more about her!

1. What is your first name? Does it have any significance or meaning?

My real first name is Melissa. It doesn't have any real special meaning in my family or anything (mom just liked it heh), but I've looked it up before and most places say that it means "bee" in Greek. Something about being the name of a nymph who took care of Zeus? *shrugs*

2. What food item will you absolutely NOT eat? Why not?

Ok no laughing?..but Nuts! I absolutely can't stand any type of nut?peanut, walnut, pecan, whatever. Except sunflower seeds but I guess those don't count heh.

3. Who was president when you were born?

Ronald Regan :) He took office the year I was born (1981).

4. If you were a mythical creature, which one would you be and why?

Pegasus?I LOVE horses ..their grace, strides, everything. I've also always wondered what it would be like if I could fly. So, to be a horse that could fly would be awesome!

5. If you suddenly sprouted wings and could fly, where would you go first?

whoa you read my mind with that one heh (last question). Umm to a beach that's not expecting hurricanes :P Maybe Hawaii :)

6. If you were suddenly granted the privaledge of meeting your favorite celebrity, who would you pick and why?

Heath Ledger. I don't care what anybody says?he's HOT!!!

7. Do you have any pets? What are they and what are their names?

heh ready for this? I have a dog?she's a Shetland Sheepdog named Missy, I have 2 cats?fluffy and Neo (Neo's my brother's cat really..can you guess his favorite movie???), and I also have a lizard named Draco?she's a 1 ? ft long bearded dragon.

8. What is your favorite saying or phrase?

"When life hands you lemons, throw 'em at somebody!"

9. If you could live in any era or time period in the history of the world, which one would you pick and why?

Probably just stay in the one we're in. The more I think about it, the more I realize that all time periods have had SOMETHING that you wouldn't want to live through so?I'll just hang here heh.

10. What is you best quality?

ick that's a hard one. My friendliness maybe (is that what you would call it? Heh) Everybody I've ever met always tells me that I'm too nice for my own health so ?they may not agree, but I think that's a good thing lol.

11. What's you most embarrasing moment? Please give details!

Evil, Rennie?Evil! Heh. Been a bunch of them, but here's one that stands out: In middle school I was drinking red kool-aid one day at lunch and I dropped the cup in my lap (I'm a clutz!). Well, I was wearing a white pair of shorts and you know those clothes the school gives you to put on in case of "accidents"? They were out. I had to wear those white shorts with the red crotch stain all day. But that's not it! I had just been asked to march with the high school band. We had parade practice that afternoon..so here I was marching in line and all of the "big high school kids" made comments about my red stained shorts every time we stopped. One of the guys started going around asking all the other girls if I could borrow?some feminine products. To a junior high kid?that was SO embarrassing!

12. What is your favorite TV show?

CSI /claps

13. If the world were ending tomorrow, and there was nothing that could stop it, what would you do today?

Tell everybody I love how much I love them?then find the nearest theme park still running (Dollywood WOOHOO!) and ride all the rollercoasters possible?then eat chicken fajitas with lots of cheese-n-stuff and finish with an ice cream from Marble Slab (cooookie dough) heh.

14. Describe yourself in one word.

goofy :P

15. What is one of your lifelong dreams?

To get married, have kids, be able to play games all day, and live happily ever after :) (hey..it could happen) :D

Thank you for the interview Melissa! It's nice to get to know you better. :o)

Interview with a fairly new member Firthjar/Stockholm! Read on to learn more about him!

1. What is your first name? Does it have any significance or meaning?

My real first name is Patrick. If it does have any significance then no one has told me about. Maybe named after that lucky saint.

2. When you were 5 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up? Are your dreams the same, or have they changed?

When I was five I wanted to be a race car driver. Which is exactly what I am, although as a amatuer. Meaning I drive like a maniac hopefully to eventually get to first place....there always seems to be one more person ahead of me.

3. If the world was ending tomorrow, what would you do today?

Well if I had to guess if the world was ending I would go to the required sweaty half naked rave that always seems to proceed it. Put on my mechincal armor and fight who ever was causing it.

4. If you were a beverage, what would you be and why?

Red Bull. That is easy, if you had a name like Red Bull it demands respect. I pity the fool named anything else

5. What is the wierdest pet you ever had?

I had a dog named Missy, she was the fastest thing I have ever seen. Always chasing cars and deer. I am sure she would of beat any greyhound if she didn't actually catch a car finally.

6. What is your favorite saying or word?

Incoming! It starts to get scary when real life and your chactors start to merge. I mean, you get strange looks when you use words that only really make sense in the game. I acutally said 'woot' when my friend got promoted at work

7. When you are not playing DAoC, what do you do for fun?

Apart from the numerous drinking games, I also love hiking, watersking, and working out.

8. What is your worst fear and why do you think you have it?

Werewolves, i know this sound a little childish. I can't stand the things. They always hide in the dark where you can only catch a faint image of them and run away again. Lucky for me I always carry a 'Silver Bullet' with me (Coors light)

9. What is your current favorite song or songs?

i think it is called 'smoke baby' by a Canadian band whose name eludes me at the moment

10. If you could go to any restaraunt in the world, where would you go and why?

The Olive Garden in times Square. I love the non-stop salads and the view in Times Square is great. mmmmmm

11. What do you do for a living? Do you enjoy it?

I am a Casino Manager on a Cruise Ship. It is a good job where I can see lots of places (over a hundred countries now) and make decent cash. I still enjoy it though I am pushing 10 years doing it. I go home and everything is rather dull after doing the 'ship life' thing for a long time

12. What is your most embarrassing moment? If you can't tell us, tell us your second most embarrassing moment.

This was on a cruise ship about 5 years ago. i was partying a lot and when I drink a lot i seem to go through periods of sleep walking. Well at 6am, I took a stroll only to be woken up by my female cabin stewart in the corridor. I guess I was getting ready to wake up because, as I sleep naked...I was up like a flagpole...

13. What is your best quality?

My sense of humor. I love laughing, and can take a joke well.

14. What special talent or talents do you possess?

So many choices. I guess I will go with the ability to read minds, but it only works when I am really drunk and only if the person whose mind I am reading is drunk also...they always seem to be thinking the same thing...more beer.

15. What is your favorite food and why?

French Toast...it is the only thing I can cook.

Thanks for the great interview Firthjar or should I say Patrick! Thanks for letting us get to know you better. :o)

August 30th, 2004

Interview with Domani! Read on to learn more about him!

1. What is your first name? Does it have any significance or meaning?

Nicholas. I was supposed to have been called William, but since I was due right around Christmas my mom decided to name me after Saint Nick.

2. What is your favorite soft drink and why? How long has it been your favorite?

I used to go through at least a twelve pack of coke a day until my dentist convinced me that I'd have no teeth by the age of thirty at that rate. I switched over to Diet Dr Pepper about six months ago, the doc said it would help, but all diet drinks just taste really bad so I'm going to have to plead 'no favorite' on this one.

3. If you were a bird, which one would you be and why?

A penguin; flying is dangerous and you really can't beat that two-tone look they have going for 'em.

4. What is your favorite movie of all time?

The Princess Bride. I'm pretty sure I should be embarrassed about that, but damnit, Cary Elwes is cool as hell in that movie.

5. What word or phrase do you say all the time?

Aside from a plethora of profanities and the work related phrases like, "One more?" I guess "Eh, so it goes" is the phrase I use most often.

6. What is your favorite color?

I'm a graphic design major; I really should have one of those. Let's go with 76% K.

7. If you could turn into a DAoC character and live their life for a while, what race and class would you be and why?

A Dwarven Skald. Dwarves are stout, gruff, have a high alcohol tolerance, and a cool accent; who wouldn't want to be a dwarf? And I'd be a skald just because it'd be funny to be able to run so quickly with such stubby legs.

8. What is your all-time favorite sports team?

I'm not really a sports fan. Let's just go with the Tampa Bay Lightning for their glorious performance in taking the Stanley Cup. In your face Canada!

9. What was the greatest moment in your life?

There've been no particular moments that stand out really. I can say that the happiest I can remember being was during the winter of 1999. I love the season, I was in a great Christmas jazz ensemble, my ska band was doing at least two shows a week, I had a gorgeous and witty girlfriend, and great friends always seemed to be around.

10. What is your favorite food?

Italian in general, Chicken fra' Diavolo in particular. It's a dish my friend Bob makes, it's the hottest and spiciest meal I've ever tasted. More of a battle than a meal really.

11. If you could go anywhere in the world instantly, where would you go and why?

I've got a reliable vehicle and no real ties to the area I'm in now; arguably I could go anywhere I wanted. I've moved around a lot and noticed that places are essentially the same; I wouldn't want to go anywhere, my friends are here. I know that's not really the answer you were looking for, but I really dislike unfamiliar places.

12. What is your least favorite vegetable and why?

Broccoli would be the worst tasting in my opinion, but I really hate potatoes on a personal level.

13. What was your most embarrassing moment?

The most embarrassing one that comes to mind happened this past week actually. I showed up to work a half-hour late and there was already a full bar so I was frantically running around trying to get everything in order oblivious to my surroundings. It wasn't until everything settled down an hour later that I noticed someone had posted flyers with a picture of me and a caption saying "The Cuddler" all around the bar. You may not now this about me, but I tend to be sarcastic as hell, and more often than not, a bit of an ass, especially at work, so that poster irked me a bit. That was embarrassing enough, but now every employee and regular customer calls me "Cuddly." There've been a lot of other moments I'm sure, but that's the first that came to mind.

14. What is the best thing about you?

Aside from my debonair style, stentorian voice, and dashing good looks? I'd have to say my sense of modesty.

15. If a magic genie popped up and gave you three wishes, what would you wish for and why?

That reminds me of an inappropriate joke. Err, I suppose I'd ask for health and prosperity for my friends and myself, to be crowned the king of Prussia (hopefully the genie would make Prussia a country first without making me waste another wish), and a coke I guess. None of that sissy world-peace crap here.

Thanks for the great interview Domani!

July 12th, 2004

Our next chosen interviewee is Guldrim the Canadian Dwarf! :oD

1. In Real Life, what is your first name? Does it hold any significance? (Named after someone, came off a cereal box... anything.)
Nathan is my first name. And I don't think it holds any significance. I could say that it means "cool breeze from the mountains after a morning shower", but I would be lying.

2. Which one of your Dark Age characters are you most alike and how or why?
Guldrim for sure. I think that I must have been a dwarf in a past life. I am really drawn towards the beer and the healing. :D

3. Who was the president when you were born? Know any interesting facts about that year?
President? I am Canadian. I don't have a clue who your president is now, let alone in 1977! ;) But I can tell you that Pierre Trudeau was Prime Minister of Canada when I was born. The greatest film of all time was created in 1977, STAR WARS!!

4. What is something about yourself that you really love?
I am Canadian. (see "Canadian" beer commercials, enough said)

5. What do you do in your spare time, for fun, besides playing DAoC?
I am a Dungeons & Dragons geek. I DM with Ygg and Pirede as my players, who I ignore while we play. They are easier to kill that way. I would say, eat, but I am poor. And I like to listen to Opeth.

6. If you were a vegetable, which one would you be an why?
That is an odd question. But I would have to go with, the Gourd. Because who eats gourds? At thanksgiving they are set on the dinner table like guests of honor, they are not actually food. People say, "That is a beautiful Gourd." Not, "I will have seconds of the Gourd, please." So, I am a Gourd.

7. When you were 5 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up? Is that dream the same now or has it changed? Why or why not?
When I was 5 years old I wanted to be a Transformer when I grew up. Really, that dream still hasn't changed. With the way technology is rapidly expanding in the fields of robotics and bionics, I believe I can still achieve that dream. Watch out Megatron, watch out!

8. What is your favorite TV show of all time and why?
That 70's Show. Fez, I wish I could do his accent.

9. What was the happiest day of your life? What makes it the happiest?
I think that my happiest day is when I graduated my Massage Therapy course as the Valedictorian. Here in Canada our Massage Therapists are more like Physio's. The two year 2200 hour program is pretty tough so I would have to say that was the happiest day so far.

10. What is your most embarrassing moment? Details!
Well here goes. I, like most guys, think that the "bare ass" has lots of comedic potential. So, I decided that "mooning" a friend of mine that was sitting on the couch, was a great idea. I was wearing sweatpants too, so I was prepared. Kristen (the "moonee") was sitting on the couch and I (the "mooner") was going to drop my pants far enough to show my "plumbers resume" as I bent over to pick up a book on the floor in front her. BUT, my pants fell way to quick and I just managed to save them from dropping to the floor, AS I was bending over in front of her. So, instead of Kristen seeing a very impressive "plumbers resume" she got a full "sac moon" instead. She is still traumatized to this day.

11. If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
A Black Bear. That is my totem animal.

12. What is your favorite food and what is it like?
Pizza from a little shop in Bedford called Marthas Pizza. And it's like..... Pizza. :P

13. What is your favorite saying or phrase?
Sorry in advance everyone but it's ..... "Balls!" Such as, "That's balls, man" or "It's hot as balls in here" and lastly, "Balls, to you!" which is a pleasant greeting I use with my friends. :D

14. What is the most exotic place you have ever been to and what was it like? What did you do there?
I was once in a strip club.... oh, but I think you mean something else by that question. I was in the UK for a month on an international exchange with Army Cadets. The UK is not that exotic, but it was a great trip. I went to the Viking museum in York, which had a recreation of a Viking town with all of the sounds and smells that it would have had way back in the day. I sat in a real long boat that crossed the Atlantic hundreds of years ago. And I held several weapons made by the Norse. It would be the one place that I would like to go back and visit for sure.

15. If you were going on a road trip right this second and you had a cd player in the car, what album, song or group of songs would you listen to? Where would you be driving to, if you could go anywhere?
I would have Opeth, all of their stuff. Damnation is my favorite though. And I think that I would go to Alberta to see the Rocky Mountains again, and maybe go to Banff. (Alberta is above Montana for you south of the border)

Thank you for your interview Guldrim! You made us laugh and cry. lol :o)

We are Roleplayers! Hear us RAWR!

Guinevere is a roleplay server, right? When you play on this server you get a bright green server rules agreement form that you all have to click "I agree" to play here. However, our server is brimming with d00d's. "can u plz PL me?" "D00d, u pwned the hibz." "thx"

I don't know about the rest of you, but I came here because Guinevere was a roleplay server. However, d00ds come here because of the high population. They want realm points. They feel that rp'ing is "optional". It isn't according to the aggreement form you are supposed to read before you play here. Mythic never enforces the rp rules. There is currently a petition going around, by the d00ds of guinevere server, to have it changed to a non-rp server. You would have names like: Ipwnedu, Zerkerd00d, Supafly, IkilledU. :/

*My Request*

If you care at all for this server and this rp guild you will join me on a crusade. Go to the Camelot Herald (www.camelotherald.com) and send feedback. Not just today, but every day until our voices are heard. We want the RP rules enforced! Save your message somewhere and cut and paste it to the feedback form everyday. I will be requesting the same of our whole alliance. Our voices shall be heard!

For the honor of Midgard and all we hold true and dear, join this crusade with me my brothers and sisters!

I decided to do something different with the news page. Sometimes you never really know the person killing monsters next to you... unless you ask. ;o) This featured interview is of Zibrena.

1. What's your first name? Do you have any nicknames?
Richard, I go by Rick. No nickname's currently

2. Who was President when you were born?
Dwight David Eisenhower

3. What is your favorite color and why?
Blue - my favorite color of the sky since was 3 years old

4. Where is the most far off place you have ever been and what did you do there?
Maui - vacationing. It was beautiful there. The place I want to visit most is the Australian outback.

5. What do you do in your free time besides play DAoC?
Easy one - I chase little white balls for 6800 to 7300 yards. I love to golf and have a six handicap

6. Name one thing that you love about yourself.
Loyality to my friends. Past experience has shown me how true friends act and react.

7. What is your favorite or most used saying or phrase?
"If that's the worst thing that happens today it's a good day"

8. If you were a jelly bean, what flavor would you be and why?
Cherry. Sweet but tart.

9. What is your favorite food?
Mesquite grilled steaks. I don't get them very often so they are a real treat. Of course there is BBQ chicken, lasagna, fetachinni alfredo, pizza...

10. What is your favorite DAoC character to play and why?
So far it would be the Spirit Master. I love to hit for 500 to 600 plus crit's on multiple mobs concurrently and watch the death spam roll by. I hate the SM's cause they are so fragile - if you hit an SM you can kill one. Still a challange for me to play.

11. What is your favorite song or type of music? Do you listen to music when you play DAoC?
Tough question. I like a variety of music. I listen to classical, country, rock, jazz, just about anything but rap. That is the one style I haven't found anything worth listening to. Yes, I do listen to music while crafting and sometimes while solo, but never while grouped.

12. What is your biggest fear and why do you think you have it?
Without details, I made a huge error in judgement and character five years ago that cost me all of what I held dear. Even today I feel the reprocussions of that one moment. I live in the shadow of my past and am haunted by that one decision. My biggest fear is I will never get past that moment in time and allow myself to truely move on with life.

13. Pepsi, Coke or neither?
If I drink soda it's diet coke. but iced tea is very tough to beat

14. What is your favorite movie of all time and why?
To many good ones to chose just one. Can't be done. If I name one I can name 10 others I like just as well.

15. Tell us something about you that we don't know and is unique to you.
I lived in Tucson for 12 years and loved it. Summer was my favorite time of year. The heat never bothered me. My job transferred away from southern Arizona. I want to move back. Time for a new job it seems.

Thank you for your interview Zibby! I really enjoyed learning more about you as I'm sure our other members have. :o)

Happy Valentine's Day!

The History of Valentine's Day

Every February, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. But who is this mysterious saint and why do we celebrate this holiday? The history of Valentine's Day -- and its patron saint -- is shrouded in mystery. But we do know that February has long been a month of romance. St. Valentine's Day, as we know it today, contains vestiges of both Christian and ancient Roman tradition. So, who was Saint Valentine and how did he become associated with this ancient rite? Today, the Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred. One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young, single men -- his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death. Other stories suggest that Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons where they were often beaten and tortured. According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl -- who may have been his jailor's daughter -- who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure. It's no surprise that by the Middle Ages, Valentine was one of the most popular saints in England and France.

This information came fromTheRomantic.com. Visit for more fun facts.
