Guild Charter

Crimson Revenge is a mature, light roleplay, gamers guild. Our primary mission is to create a home that provides a safe and fun environment for our members to play games, and make new friends. Inter-guild cooperation will allow us to achieve goals and reap rewards as a team. Crimson Revenge prides itself on putting people before politics and strives to treat all members fairly and equally, no matter what their rank or tenure with the family may be.

We have open recruitment for people who meet the following criteria;

1) 18 years of age or older.
2) Mature in both attitude and actions.
3) Friendly and
4) Looking for a safe and non-demanding guild to enjoy online games.
5) Generous Natured (willing to donate items, money or time to the betterment of the whole guild)
6) Light or heavier roleplayer. (Willing to adhere to RP server guildlines in public chat. (Guild chat is not RP necessary, but is rp welcome!)

Crimson Revenge fully supports Role-Playing for its members; however, we do not require or enforce role-play in guildchat or guild only groups or where a game does not specify role-play as being necessary.

Due to being a multi-game guild, there are two different types of guild "ranks" that a player can achieve. Guild ranks pertain solely to the main Crimson Revenge guild and transcend any individual game rank. For instance a member could be a senior officer of the guild and be a regular non-officer member of a specific game, whereas a non-senior officer of the guild itself might hold a junior officer position within a specific game. This system allows the most flexibility and supports us as a multi-game guild.

Like any good organization, Crimson Revenge has a structure that helps to promote in-game activities as well as manage the day to day operations of the guild. This also helps to provide fun goals for players to achieve. A more detailed explanation of ranks can be found here: http://www.crimsonrevenge.com/smf/index.php?topic=1965.0
The various ranks and their duties are outlined below.

Code of Conduct

Crimson Revenge prides itself on being a respectable guild. In order to conduct ourselves as such, all members should hold themselves responsible for following these rules.

1) No Doodz - Words, things and actions you should never say or do in public chats/areas: - Try to avoid chat abbreviations for polite conversation words such as please or thanks. For example; Pls or plz (Looks like pluz or pliss), Thx or thnx (Looks like Thix or thunks and does not appear as a genuine thanks to some people) -D00d speak is not allowed. (For example: "D00d we just ownz0rd them!" "We just got raped!" (Very offensive and irritating to hear.)

2) Show Respect - Calling people bad names is not allowed. (any racist, sexist or hateful remarks, that are not roleplay, are not acceptable. If your character dislikes people of a certain in game race as defined by the games definations, roleplaying his racism is acceptable).

3) Begging - Begging of any kind is NOT allowed, EVER. This includes ALL chat channels, public or private, of any game where you wear the tag of Crimson Revenge. If you need help, ask a guild mate to help you. But expect to EARN your way, just as all the members of CR had to EARN theirs. Kindness is a circle.

4) Naming - NO Offensive, racist or sexually oriented names allowed. Crimson Revenge also prohibits any name that is a copyright violation or is an attempt to duplicate a copyright protected name. (Gimmly, Drizzzt, etc) No d00d names are allowed, any combination of words that make a phrase or sentence. "Iownzyou" or "darthownzer" etc.

5) Behavior - Treat people as you would like to be treated. Yes... the Golden Rule. Old, but very important to have. If you behave like a jerk to other people... you are not the kind of member that should be in this guild.

6) Terms of Service and Code of Conduct - The games we play have rules and restrictions. Crimson Revenge members are expected to abide by these rules at all times.

7) Cheating - No member of Crimson Revenge will be allowed to use any third party program that gives a direct advantage or provides information above the Indiviuals game client. This includes "Radar" or other "cheats". Any member found to be using such programs will be removed from the guild immediately.

8) Power Leveling - Crimson Revenge is not a power level guild. You will be expected to earn your levels just like the rest of us had to. Asking another member to powerlevel you will NOT be tolerated. Asking them to group with you with one of their characters that is around your same level is perfectly acceptable. CR knows that every person needs to learn how to play their character, and powerleveling will not provide you any learning.

9) Guild Donations - Never expect things for free. You will be expected to earn your gold just like the rest of us had to. Our crafters usually make all weapons and armors at COST for all guildmates. (Crafters reserve the right to charge whatever they like.) Crafters and other guildmembers will often help fellow guildmates that are down on their luck through donations etc. Do not come into our guild expecting everything for free and don't ask for someone to craft you free equipment.

10) Final Say - Exceptions can be made to any rule for special cases at the discretion or the Dragons. In the end we will make the ultimate decisions where we deem necessary, for the benefit of the guild.

How to Join

If you think you would like to join up with our little family, the process is simple.

1) Register on our forums. This is mandatory! Registration and first post must be made within 24 hours of being added to the in game guild. Forums are a great way to get to know your fellow guild members, and it is also how we plan and coordinate any events. The day you register also becomes your official join date, which is important as you advance through the ranks of the guild.

2)Click on the membership forum and read the stickied posts. Follow the instructions there to cut and paste your memebership application and make your own post!

3)Take the time to familiarize yourself with the forums. Get involved in discussions and make yourself at home. This is a great chance to introduce yourself to the family!

4)Once a potential member has registered on the forums and posted their membership application, and there are no objections by any member, the new recruit is accepted as a Hatchling.

Multi-game Procedures

Crimson Revenge is a mutli-Game guild and can have more than one chapter going at any given time. Any member of the guild holding a guild rank of Wyvern or higher may request a chapter be established in any given game. In order for the chapter to be established, the following requirements must be met.

1) The game in question must at least be in Beta testing stage.

2) A current Wyvern who makes the request for the chapter to be formed must be willing to act as Guildmaster for that game.

3) At least 8 current members of the guild playing the game or will play once the chapter is established.

4) Crimson Wyvern vote to create the new chapter.

5) If at any time a guild chapter no longer has a Wyvern willing to be Guildmaster and falls below 5 active members, the chapter will be disbanded.

6) A guild chapter may be disbanded by Wyvern vote even if it does not meet the guildlines of #5. Should a senior officer feel it necessary, they may call a vote.

**Crimson Revenge members are free to join any guild they like in a game where there is no active CR Chapter.**
